Jenny Wheeler, LCSW,MSW

Owner/Director

Meet Jenny Wheeler, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), MSW, and the Owner/Clinical Director of Healing Minds LLC, a behavioral health agency serving individuals and families in Klamath Falls, Oregon.

She currently specializes in supporting people who have experienced trauma, abuse, loss, crisis, and overwhelming life events, helping them reclaim a sense of safety, stability, and personal strength. She believes that every individual carries wisdom, resilience, and the capacity for healing within them even when trauma has made that difficult to see.

Her professional background spans more than two decades in community mental health, including crisis intervention, emergency room behavioral health response, pre-commitment investigations, substance use treatment, and facilitating cognitive behavioral interventions for suicide prevention, substance use recovery, and LGBTQ+ and transgender health.

Experiences in emergency departments, acute residential treatment programs, foster care homes certified by the State of Oregon and DHS correctional settings for both adults and youth, and private practice. have allowed her to support both adolescents and adults facing complex mental health challenges, including PTSD, complex trauma, domestic violence recovery, dissociation, grief and loss, depression, anxiety, substance use disorders, and severe mental illness.

My approach to therapy is deeply trauma-informed, client-centered, and rooted in empathy, safety, and empowerment. I draw from modalities including Trauma-Focused Therapy, Brainspotting, Somatic approaches, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness, and Motivational Interviewing. My goal is always to meet people where they are and support them in building tools for regulation, resilience, and meaningful change.

In addition to my clinical work, I have proudly served since 2018 as a board member for a local youth mentoring program, supporting young people in our community.LGBTQ+ support, family conflict, grief and loss, abandonment wounds, intimacy concerns, sleep disorders, anger management, self-esteem, bipolar disorder, compassion fatigue, life transitions, and aging/geriatric issues.

It is truly an honor to walk beside individuals on their journey toward healing, self-compassion, and reclaiming their lives.

She has worked in the behavioral health field for 17 years across residential, crisis, inpatient, detox, jail-based, day treatment, and outpatient settings. Her clinical experience primarily includes supporting adults with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders, often alongside criminal justice involvement and complex medical conditions.

At Healing Minds, Meghan serves as the Compliance and Operations Manager, where she focuses on strengthening the systems that support ethical, accessible, and high-quality care. She is deeply committed to improving the structural and regulatory aspects of behavioral health that can unintentionally contribute to stigma, barriers to access, and outdated practices. Her work reflects a belief that compassionate clinical care must be supported by thoughtful, well-designed systems behind the scenes.

Although much of her role centers on operations, Meghan’s clinical approach remains relaxed, nonjudgmental, trauma-informed, and client-centered. She believes meaningful change often begins with being truly heard and feels honored to hold and safeguard the stories shared with her.
